Our Parish Feast Day of Corpus Christi is June 10-11! Please save the date and plan to attend Mass where we will have Eucharistic Adoration following Saturday's 4:30 pm Mass and before Sunday's 8:30 Mass. We will have a Eucharistic Procession following the 10:30 am Mass and then we round out our Parish Feast Day with a COOKOUT in the parking lot (weather permitting) or Parish Center. We will also use this time to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of our Parish, so PLEASE JOIN US!

The Blessed Sacrament Early Childhood Center Parent Advisory Board is holding a Spring fundraiser by selling $25 vouchers to Dew on the Rose Greenhouse in Cedar Falls. Vouchers can be purchased through April 30, and we earn $5 for each voucher sold! Proceeds will be used throughout the year for both teacher appreciation and family-centered events. Vouchers can be used for any plant material (no cash value) and must be redeemed between May 1 - May 25, 2023. These make great Mother's Day gifts and are an excellent way to spruce up your outdoor space now that spring has arrived! The Salad Supper & Vendor Fair is back for 2023! Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 4th at the Parish Center! "A Recipe for Fun" is our them this year and doors will open at 5:00 PM for shopping at our 8 vendor tables. Let's fill our Parish Center. Simmer Religious Education will take place at Blessed Maria Middle School from June 19 - June 30. Summer RE is for kids going into Kindergarten through High School who attend public school or children who attend public school AND are in need of First Sacraments in the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to work anything and everything surrounding the garage sale! Thank you to everyone who donated items! Thank you to everyone who shopped the event! Thank you to our core team! The parish was able to raise around $21,787.37! For this to be possible, we had more than 100 parishioners and at least 10 from outside the parish that helped with the garage sale, and 9 people participated for the first time. IMPACT is open to any Catholic adult who desires a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater understanding of the Catholic faith in order to better serve others in their parish and community. This two-year formation program includes monthly sessions with dynamic presenters, spiritual reading, and retreat/prayer experiences to provide formation in living the Catholic faith. St. Vincent de Paul is looking to add several volunteers to strengthen our ability to help the needy in our community. Opportunities vary from interviewing clients for financial assistance or making up food boxes to sorting and sizing clothes or organizational management. Normal requirements are for up to three (3) hours, one day per week, between 9am and Noon. We are an all-volunteer organization and have need of people with every type of talent! I will continue to celebrate the scheduled daily Mass (except in cases of a funeral), even if school is cancelled. However, with that being said, parking lots and sidewalks may not be cleared in time for daily Mass. Please use caution, stay safe, or even stay home. Mass will still be live streamed. If out of necessity the daily Mass needs to be cancelled due to weather, we will try to publish a notice of cancellation through KWWL and KCRG TV stations.
