"We do not own anything; rather, everything we have is on loan to us, entrusted by the owner, namely God" - Archbishop Michael Jackels
In a single sentence the idea of true stewardship is laid out for us, challenging us to be stewards of our gifts not only today, but always. As part of that stewardship challenge, Blessed Sacrament is pleased to announce the parish has created the Fr. Louis Putz Legacy Society. Father Louis Putz founded our parish in 1947, and served as pastor until 1967. The purpose of this new program is to provide a means to create a legacy gift to Blessed Sacrament either now, or after you are gone. A legacy gift is an expression of love; an expression of stewardship for all God has given us, while providing peace of min knowing your estate will include Blessed Sacrament. It's the final act of stewardship to be done in this life.
Giving a gift in your will to the church is not just for the wealthy. It's for all people regardless if you live on a fized income, are single, an empty nester, a snowbird, have school-aged children, or just won the lottery!
Planned Giving provides many benefits. There are ways to secure and perhaps increase your income now or in the future and save you money on taxes. A planned gift provides peace of mind knowing you have helped the parish while living and in perpetuity after you are gone. It provides a legacy gift which will further the mission of Blessed Sacrament forever.
The Finance Council is pleased to have established the Blessed Sacrament Development Council to lead the efforts to communicate to all parishioners the various ways to become a member of this exciting new legacy society. Our Development Council members stand ready to discuss with you the various ways an estate gift can be established, who to work with to set up such gifts, and how your gift fits into the goal of helping all Blessed Sacrament parishioners on his/her spiritual journey to holiness.
Members of the Blessed Sacrament Development Council are:
Beth Sadd, Rick Miller, Vince Heuer, and Greg Greco, Chair.
